WACISSA SPRINGS

Wacissa Springs is a major tributary to the Aucilla River and consists of at least 12 known springs. There are about 4 springs just a few feet from the parking lot near the public boat ramp. The largest spring, Big Blue, is about 25 ft feep and a basin of 200 ft. The river is a family favorite and can be considered a great waterway for beginner kayakers. Public camping is offered at Goose Pasture which is about 10 miles down from the headsprings.
