ABOUT VORTEX SPRINGS
Vortex Springs was founded by Doc and Ruth Dockery. The 500+ acre recreation area produces approximately 32 million gallons of fresh water daily. This waterway is extremely unique because it’s a fully operating dive park with a 200ft basin with 68 degree waters all year round. Although it doesn’t seem like your typical spring, don’t let its exterior fool you. You are able to deep dive its waters, along with the cave of depths of 115 feet. Vortex Springs is also known as the largest diving facility in the state of Florida. Divers often explore a 28 ft sailboat that you can find down below – complete with its cabin! The Cavern within the springs is said to be one of the largest cavern systems with new discoveries being found daily.
