HUNTER SPRINGS

ABOUT HUNTER SPRINGS

A freshwater first-magnitude spring called Hunter Springs can be found in Crystal River, Florida. It is one of many springs that feed into the Crystal River and is renowned for its crystal-clear, azure water. Hunter Springs is a well-liked location for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. A variety of fauna, including manatees, call this area home.

Hunter Springs is renowned for its history in addition to its natural beauty and animals. It was named for the Hunter family, who owned the property in the early 20th century, and was once a well-liked location for hunting and fishing. The spring and its surroundings are now maintained for conservation and leisure while being protected.

Hunter Spring is accessible to the general public all year long, however in order to protect manatees, access to the springs is limited from November 15 to March 31. Visitors can still see the manatees at this season from designated viewing places and can take part in educational programs and guided tours.
