FANNING SPRINGS

ABOUT FANNING SPRINGS

Fanning Springs can be located along the Suwannee River and has been around for thousands of years. This beautiful waterway produces 65 million gallons of water a day. Not only does this spring provide an abundance of wild life below the surface, manatee included, it provides a setting for a perfect day. From picnic areas, to playgrounds, and swimming! You can explore the surrounding cypress filled swamp by boardwalk and you’ll instantly be transported to Old Florida. Depending on the River height, you can experience depths between 2ft and 21 ft. The state has spent $750,000 restoring the waterway and they’re goal is to preserve its beauty for years to come.
