CYPRESS SPRINGS

Cypress Springs is a natural spring just off the Intercoastal Waterway that generates almost 65 million gallons of water a day and remains 70 degrees all year long. Within Cypress Springs is a large basin with outer depths of about 25 feet, but a small opening within can be up to 75 feet deep. There are even a few cypress trees within the spring – hence the name! If you decide to venture out and explore Cypress Springs, you can definitely pack lunch and turn it into a half day, or even a full day on the water. Florida State University even used to host their dive training here. In 2002 this spring and some of its surrounding land was purchased by Nestle Waters to bottle water, which is why you are only able to access it by the boat ramp and paddling downstream.

LOCATION: You can only access this spring by entering Holmes Creek into your GPS and paddling about a mile downstream, or launching your own vessel at Cotton Landing and paddling upstream

HOURS: April – August
Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm;
Saturday & Sunday 8am – 5pm.

September – March by Reservation only!
